AUTHOR: Riccardo Ettore EQUIPMENT: Macintosh TypeIt4Me is a nifty control panel extension that essentially adds a glossary function to any and every program. You can even use it in dialog boxes! Just type in a shortcut code up to 25 letters long and TypeIt4Me expands it to a full word, phrase, or entire boilerplate paragraphs. It can also insert the current date and time. It's amazingly easy to use and will make you more productive no matter in what program you use it. TypeIt4Me is particularly helpful in having standard text for chats prepared in advance. Version 4.3 adds the following features: hide menu bar is now distinct from disabling the hot spot, added All and None buttons in Expansion triggers dialog, and no longer expands in all caps when abb is a single char or is not a letter from a-z. Bug fixes: fixed conflict with Control Strip, and handles alternate short date and times correctly. Version 4.4 is a fat binary, and it and 4.4.1 squash several small buglets.
